Cobh, Ireland
In celebration of St. Patrick's Day, I'm posting a few photographs I took during a trip to Ireland in 2003.
"Ireland is rich in literature that understands a soul's yearnings, and dancing that understands a happy heart." ~ Margaret Jackson |
That row of multicolored houses is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Charles! I took it in Cobh (it's pronounced "cove"), the former Queenstown ~ where the Titanic set sail (that water you see in the distance, to be exact!).
ReplyDeleteThe River Bandon photo I took was on the side of the road. I had to walk a bit onto someone's long driveway. What you don't see are the cows on the left and across the river!
I couldn't resist the colorful buildings in Kinsale, and the gorgeous plants/flowers. A feast for the eyes :-)
Yeah, I would enjoy Cobh, Ireland.
ReplyDeleteI know you would, David ~ it's awesome! I hope you get there someday soon :-)
