Straight Out of the Camera Sunday

My "straight out of the camera" photo was taken recently at the Kraft Azalea Garden in Winter Park, Florida, which borders Lake Maitland. I stood on the small dock to take this photo of a Spanish Moss tree that stands on the water's edge.

  2. Hi Margot,
Thanks ~ and yes, we did have a great visit, even though it rained a lot during our vacation. We got lucky this day (even though it rained on the way!) when we visited Winter Park. We stopped and had lunch at a great Italian restaurant called Pannullo's http://www.pannullos.com/. The service was fantastic and the food delicious and reasonable. I'll have to do a My Town Monday post on Winter Park!

  4. Sure looks like a scene from down here in N'Awlins. Course, the environments aren't that different. Lovely pic.

  5. Thanks, Charles! We took lots of photos in that park. A tourist boat operates around that lake. Someone was taking in their lunch hour sitting on the dock with an iPod and a book when I took the photo. A gorgeous setting to do just that!

    Hi Jan,
It was a pleasure to join in, thanks again for hosting this lovely meme ~ I hope you are able to continue doing so ~ I know many people appreciate it ~ including me!
I was surprised to see the Spanish Moss trees in Florida. I expected them when I visited Savannah last year, but not Florida.

  10. Hi Mercedes,
Thanks for stopping by. I think you will enjoy Florida tremendously. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you in Vegas, it went by so quickly ~ I was visiting my father & his wife, and my sister flew in to join us. The Public Safety Writers Conference was terrific, and it happened around Father's Day, so it was great timing for a visit.
Hopefully another time when I visit Vegas, we can meet!
